Boat design and Assembly

Aluminum is durable, lightweight, easy to repair and capable of withstanding large amounts of stress. For these reasons Amstel Metal uses Aluminum when we fabricate and manufacture boats in order to ensure the quality of our products. Our Aluminum hulls are superior custom designs that have been created and engineered by our CAD department. Precision cutting on our Waterjet allows for custom designs and capable configuration. This allows for any shape and size of boat to be assembled at Amstel Metal.

Amstel Metal currently designs and assembles aluminum boats. The process to develop a product such as the aluminum boat is not as simple as it seems.

First our CAD designers had to generate a 3D computer model of the Aluminum boat Amstel Metal wanted to put into production. While in CAD design, plate expansion and parts nesting all needed to be considered. Hydrostatic analysis is used here to determine certain characteristics of the aluminum boats, such as hull dynamics. Once the design is finalized, the CAD drawn model becomes the working template for production of our Aluminum boats. Plate development occurs to bring the 3D model to a 2D cut patterns, so that the aluminum can be cut on the Waterjet system. In production specialized Waterjet cutting and final assembly are completed by certified welders and sheet metal workers. The combination of qualified workers and specialized equipment, such as our Waterjet cutting system, creates a custom, well built and well designed finished product. – Your Aluminum Boat.
